OCTOBER 2024The perfect mix to help you transition from Brat Summer to a calmer Autumn, curated by Li-Wei Chu, the editor in chief for From The Intercom.

From the Intercom is a review blog dedicated to spotlighting Asian creators in the media. Started back in 2018 to emulate the indie music blogs of the early aughts, From the Intercom now covers exciting projects in music, film, and even gaming! Stick around for our annual year-end lists as well as our year-round coverage of festivals like SXSW, LAAPFF, and others in the NA region!

About the mix: "This mix of 20 songs were chosen by me, FTI editor in chief Li-Wei Chu, as my love letter to folk and dream pop as we enter the fall season. Gone are the days of sweaty, electrifying pop (don’t worry, there’s a separate playlist for that that is tucked away until summer of 2025). Instead, here are a few acoustic, guitar-driven songs that you can listen to while curled up inside drinking a hot milk tea. I’ve also made a conscious decision to choose quite a few artists that I’ve been listening to non-stop in 2024 (Mei Semones, Ok Cowgirl, Chance Emerson, Esme Emerson), old favorites (Haley Heynderickx, Raavi, Joshua Ng, mui zyu), as well as one or two off-the-wall picks that I’ve fallen in love with recently thanks to my countless hours of digging in record stores... just to keep things a bit spicy."
