Faisal provides a little insight into being a trailblazer for the community in the industry, breaking down what his role entails and provides valuable advice for those looking to carve their space in the music world.

Faisal Lateef began producing music in 2008 and through his production work he began managing recording artists and producers while attending college at the University of Florida in 2012, under his management/production company Nu South Music.

He moved to New York City to attended law school at Cardozo Law, pursuing a concentration in Intellectual Property and Entertainment Law. Faisal then began managing and co-writing with an EDM vocalist, which served as his entry into dance. In 2015 he got the opportunity to  co-write topline for Afrojack, The Chainsmokers and Armada Records. Today he serves as general counsel for Avant Gardner —owner and operator of the Brooklyn Mirage, one of the largest electronic music venues in the world. He also works with Indo Warehouse (@indo.warehouse)— a South Asian dance music label.
