GiNN 諸葛靖 is an LA-born Han American artist with a rich vocal timbre at odds with his appearance. His music features heavy basslines juxtaposed with lyrics centering self-growth with a sensual sound. His music draws audiences into an immersive world with elements of ATL, Electronica, Techno, and Deep House influences, crafting an assertive, energetic, and sultry style.
Delivered through bilingual lyrics (translated line by line), dubious English and Mandarin aside, GiNN’s unapologetic self-confidence and dark humor inspire listeners to embrace their truths, pursue their values, and explore without fear. His music sparks curiosity and connection—be it on the dancefloor or somewhere more intimate 👀.
Beneath the vibes lies a story of identity crises and belonging. Battling family pressures to fully embody his Chinese roots, GiNN found his voice by bridging the dualities of his upbringing: the dynamic pulse of the West and the rich traditions of the East, often reflecting on the tensions in-between.
His seductive and unrelenting tracks ensnared audiences in large-scale stages at 88rising’s Head in the Clouds Festival Guangzhou 2023 with 25,000 in attendance. Equally as successful online, GiNN 諸葛靖 accrued over 30M views, 1M likes, and 50K followers on Douyin 抖音 (TikTok CN) and demonstrated his unstoppable groove with over 90K user generated content across dance, fashion, and fitness featuring his second ever single Dottie.

3 words to describe you:
juxtaposed, darkly humorous, encouraging
Describe your sound:
dark, sultry, deep but in an interesting way, helping people to find their own truths and pursue their genuine values instead of being stuck in the system
Describe the moment you knew that you wanted to pursue music:
I practiced piano from 3 to 13 years old. Stopped because I had to put more focus on my academics. The spark came in 2017 when I was discovered by a group of fellow musicians(producers) then I started rapping with them and ghost-producing as my own side-hustle to pay the bills.
How does your heritage impact your art?
In terms of my songs' listening experience, it's mostly Western influence given that I'm a Chinese American growing up listening to Black Eyed Peas, Lil Wayne, and etc.. In terms of my lyricism, my parents' strict education makes me think a lot about how I would be able to bring about new perspectives for listeners to feel like the content is delicious to consume or else they're just going to feel like it's straight-up "feeding" instead of "guiding".
What moment are you most proud of in your music journey so far?
When my song "暈(Dizzy)" hits an audience where non-Mandarin speakers are vibing with so much; it currently stands at 200K streams and I'm looking forward to grow it further.
Your next music goal:
//Post-Euphoria// 🤫;this would be my next album release after the joint shows, two in Taipei, one in Malaysia, another in Singapore
If you could collaborate with anyone, who and why?
Charli XCX; I love how she truly injects the energy of Electronic music to her highly pop structured artistry especially when the ideology aligns with the overall art!

Your community shout out:
My friend 99God (@_99god_) for sure cuz he's one of the first Chinese artists to gain traction on the international market, independently.
Anything else you'd like to share:
I suck at both Mandarin and English and you know what? I think it's the reason that I can make those seamless language transitions. NO CAP.
