GET TO KNOW - completed November 2024
3 words to describe you:
optimistic, out-going and creative

Describe your sound:
I mix chilled RnB with various genres like pop, dancehall and desi music

Describe the moment you knew that you wanted to pursue music:
I've been writing songs since the age of 5/6 so its always been a natural passion for me. I had a little song book I would write songs in when I was feeling creative my first song was called Lost on the beach (Lol) so I've always loved telling stories or conveying a message through music.

How does your heritage impact your art?
I've always been proud of my South Asian heritage and seen myself as Indian. Although my music is mainly influenced by modern RnB and taking inspiration from artists I love listening to, I like to pay homage to my heritage with desi elements in my songs. That could be as small as including some tablas or sampling a bollywood song to actually singing in Hindi for parts of my songs.

What moment are you most proud of in your music journey so far?
Being named BBC Asian networks artist of the week which culminated in a live radio interview and they have continued to support my work ever since.

Your next music/career goal:
Getting one of my songs past 100k streams or getting played on BBC radio 1xtra.

If you could collaborate with anyone, who and why?
Kaytranada, I love his music and think his production & sound is so unique. I song write on dance music so I would definitely enjoy writing to one of his funky beats.

Lyrics you live by:
"Bad energy stay far away, make it stay far away" (Skepta ft. Wizkid - Energy)

(Basically this song comes out every summer for me and I love every lyric of it)

3 songs you're listening to right now:
Summer Drop - Cordae ft. Anderson .Paak
No Chill - PartyNextDoor
Leave it on the dancefloor - Hope Tala

Anything else you'd like to share:
My latest song 'Silence' Visualiser just came out on YouTube and the song is also available to stream on Spotify. I have a couple gigs at the end of Jan/start of Feb next year so keep an eye out, they're going to be fun no doubt.
