Golden Era R&B

Describe the moment you knew that you wanted to pursue music:
My mom, who has always been incredibly supportive, recognized my musical talent from the start. When I didn't get into the polytechnic program I aimed for, my mom and sister encouraged me to audition for Lasalle College of the Arts. There, I met a group of exceptionally talented and motivated musicians who inspired me to improve my skills and pursue a career in music.

How does your heritage impact your art?
In Indonesia, music is incredibly important, and we listen to a lot of R&B, which has influenced my songwriting significantly.

What moment are you most proud of in your music journey so far?
Producing my own music and singing with 14 other talented voices in the Island Voices group is a dream come true and incredibly fulfilling musically.

Your next music/career goal:
Currently, my goal is to continue releasing more music and performing original songs, either solo or with the Island Voices.

If you could collaborate with anyone, who and why?
I’d love to collaborate with Tori Kelly and Jacob Collier to see how they would interpret my music and lyrics. I believe working with them would help me expand the possibilities of what my writing can become.
