We caught up with rising star, Saloni, following her performance at this year's BBC Big Weekend performance. We chatted about the day, the support BBC have given her as well as her music journey. Full disclosure that we tried to film this on the day, and let's just say between dehydration, lack of food, and whatnot, it didn't really go so smooth...

Saloni is a British Asian singer/songwriter whose original music and remixes have an eclectic mix of Pop, R&B, and Bollywood, bringing both her Eastern and Western worlds together. Saloni's versatility allows her to sing in many genres and over 10 languages.

Saloni has been featured on media outlets such as BBC Asian Network, B4U, Rolling Stone, and Eastern Eye, who nominated her among the "30 talents under 30' for 2024. Saloni's viral track 'Nee Gundellounna' has garnered over 5 million views on social media, officially trending on Instagram and Shazam and #16 on the Official UK Asian Music Charts. This virality led her to over 1.5M Spotify streams. Saloni has toured many cities across the JK, from London and Manchester to Birmingham and Brighton. Notably, she performed at the iconic OVO Arena, Wembley, BBC Radio 1 Big Weekend, BBC Maida Vale studios, The Great Escape, and Godiva Festival to name a few.
