3 words to describe you:
joyful, creative and quirky
3 words to describe your music:
emotional, meaningful and soothing
Describe the moment you knew that you wanted to pursue music:
I started having interest in music when I was 13 y/o. And to be completely honest, I never understood why I was so into music. I had this weird adrenaline rush of wanting to be on stage and sing my heart out to the crowd. But I was extremely shy when I was younger. I couldn't even sing infront of my parents.
I started getting into small gigs when I was in high school. I sang at schools and nearby cafes. I could never write my own songs at first, nor could I produced. I started taking small steps when I was in Uni. And I released my first debut single called "Tell Me" when I was 21 y/o. That is when I took my music career seriously.
How does your heritage impact your art?
My heritage profoundly impacts my art, serving as both a wellspring of inspiration and a foundational element of my creative expression. Growing up in a culturally rich environment of Malaysia, I was immersed in the traditions, stories, and values of my ancestors, which continue to influence my work today.
What moment are you most proud of in your music journey so far?
My proudest moment were, releasing my first debut single "Tell Me". Because it has opened so many doors for me for my music career. I didn't have much confidence in me when I wanted to turn my hobby into a career, because unlike other artists, I'm not really the prettiest. So when I released my first song, I didn't expect it to reach so much engagement from so many people.
Your next music/career goal:
I always wanted to be an international singer-songwriter. And I hope while I'm in the UK, it'll help me reach my goals.
If you could collaborate with anyone, who and why?
Yuna, because she is a Malaysian singer-songwriter and she is internationally recognised especially in the US. Other than Yuna, it'll be Lauv, becuse I love his producing skills. And his music are amazing.
Top 3 go to songs/artists:
Lauv - I Like Me Better
Bruno Mars - It Will Rain
Sam Smith - I'm Not The Only One
Words you live by:
