From songwritting and using GarageBand in her bedroom, Serena started self producing her own music. Working in international business she found her life constantly being uprooted and community changing, as she moved between USA, China and Chilie. Reflecting on this signified the start of Serena as an artist - her experiences reflected in her music - a cool indie pop with ambient instrumentals. Serena has been featured on Spotify playlists: 'Dope AF', 'Fresh Finds: Pop' and 'It's A Bop'. Check out her latest single, 'For The Hell of It' - out today!

3 words to describe your music:
Highs and Lows
If it does, how does your heritage impact your art?
Growing up, I didn't see many Asian artists in popular music, and that definitely dissuaded me from pursuing a career in music. I think being Asian and growing up in the western world has given me a unique perspective to share, attached with many insecurities about identity and self-image. I definitely talk about mental health in my songs and that's just the tip of the iceberg.
If you could collaborate with anyone, who and why?
Sasha Sloan, she's one of my favourite songwriters and artists--her music is so honest and vulnerable. She's definitely not afraid to share thoughts that we've all had but may be too afraid to say aloud.
