Southern Italy born and raised, Thai - Italian singer/song writer, Valentina Ploy has a natural relationship with telling stories through her music as that is the place where she explores her own feelings and personal life experiences.

She crafts her songs by sharing the most vulnerable pages of her real diary and racked up millions of streams around the world.
Being part of What the Duck Music record, based in BKK, Thailand, Valentina debuted with her first single in 2019 taking charge of every music-making process, getting support in the production from “Pong- Pokpong Jitdee” a top talented producer from thailand.

She started her music journey at the age of 7 by writing songs in her own diary in a very personal way and learnt to play violin and guitar. Besides her music skills, she has a keen interest in languages and culture. She can speak 5 languages (Italian, Thai, English, Spanish and French) and this influence her music making in the choice of words and expression.

GET TO KNOW - completed July 2021
3 words to describe you:
Genuine, joyful, curious

3 words to describe your music:
Honest, hopeful, vulnerable

If it does, how does your heritage impact your art?
On many levels for sure but I guess mostly for the usage of language and the story to tell. Speaking more languages shapes the way I think and the way I write so with it also how I create my music and how I choose words :) then as I write about very personal stuff, having life experiences influenced by more cultures has an impact on the stories I tell in my music and what I actually communicate in my songs as well.

If you could collaborate with anyone, who and why?
Right now I’d say Ed Sheehan cause I love his songwriting style and his music touches me a lot

Your next career/music goal:
Hopefully expand my music to a larger international public, little by little :)

Top 3 go to songs/artists:
Fast car - Tracy Chapman
High and dry - Radiohead
Any song - Linkin Park

Words you live by:
Whole heart, soft front, strong back
